What Metals can I use Durafix Easyweld on?
Durafix Easyweld can be used on almost all non-ferrous metals.
Aluminium and aluminium alloys, including galvanised aluminium, zinc based metals, pot metals and repair of kirksite dies.
The rods will also work on galvanised steel, copper, brass and nickel. You can use them to weld any of these dissimiliar metals to eachother.
Zamac is a difficult case. The melting temperature is extremely close to the working temperature of the rods. If you do wish to use the rods with this metal, please use extreme caution.
Tin or Pewter have a very low melting temperature which is less than the application temperature of the rod, so it will not be possible to work with these metals.
The rods do NOT work on stainless steel or magnesium.
