I need to do some repairs on the bodywork of a Landrover...
...........(so these are quite large pieces) - have you successfully used your product to do such a job (i.e. on Birmabright)?
Yes the rods will work on Birmabrite, we have had people in the past successfully repairing landrover panels.
You will get some heat dissipation through the panel, due to the size. Be patient and it will get to working temperature.
Rubbing the end of a rod around the work area when heating, as soon as temp is reached the rod will start to flow. It may take some time to reach temperature, and this will vary depending on the size of the panel.
Make sure you get the panels down to the base metal, i.e. remove all paint & grime etc. I suggest using a propane or Mapp torch; it is easier to regulate temperature. You can use acetylene, but it burns very hot and you risk burn-through on the panels
