What kind of torch do I need?
Because the Durafix Easyweld rods have such a low working temperature, you can use almost any handheld type torch.
Ideally we would recommend using a propane torch, however you can use any fuel source like Butane, Propane, Mapp, Propylene or even Acetylene.
The following is a table of temperature for the heat output of different fuel sources. Working temperature of the Durafix Easyweld rods is 730`F (380°C).
Aluminium and aluminium alloys will melt at around 1200`F.
